It's still there, ownership was transferred. It was only closed for a couple of weeks...
Yes, they do. And it's exceptional.
Very creative menu. Everything I have ordered was excellent
Went here on 5/1/19. The place was almost empty besides one other party around lunch time. The service was prompt and welcoming. I think the prices are very fair for what they're trying to do: Great craft beer selection and fresh food.
Good place and friendly waitress
The real deal.Very nice special Saturday night my favorite spot in Whittier.
All the food is absolutely amazing. Good selection of local beers! Love that place 🤤
Went for a beer....wanted something to munch on while we drank....could not stop ordering food because all of it was delicous!!!
Don't forget the dessert! Its really good.
Okay, food was very good! Giant pancakes were delicious and chilaquiles with pork belly were all so great. Can only give this place 3 stars because it seemed so dirty. Floor was gross underneath the tables and the tables are super sticky. So sticky that food from previous customers remains stuck along with hair right on the table top. Not cool...might try again someday.
It was just ok, one of those places. Cheese and tots were the best thing
Besides the oysters....their food is to die for! Your taste buds will thank you!& the beer to get your head straight.
Delicious! Oysters are only available after 5pm but lunch is absolutely amazing.
Great food great service! What else to ask for?
Great place. The inside was really elegant and the food there was outstanding
Food is delicious. The Micheladas are very tasty.
This place is amazing. First time visiting and wow. Everything was so tasty. The oysters were FRESH. Salmon was tender. Fish and chips were delicious. Pork belly bao was so refreshing. Everything was just great. Shoutout to the chef Jorge. The man has real skill. If you want some good seafood in Whittier, come check this place out!!
Delicious food. Perfect service!
Great fish tacos!
This place is a must try, and a repeat favorite!
food was fresh and delicious, great atmosphere, would recommend
So good. In uptown Whittier, hidden behind Rick's burgers. Different owner than 2 + years ago. Food is always on point. Some of the menu is seasonal. Craft beers, wine, sangria. Our go to is the pork belly bao, any tacos they have, cheese plate, esquite, steak and the pork chop that is on the menu!! The brunch on sunday tastes amazing. Fresh and flavorful, honestly I have never ate anything bad here.
The food was not only delicious but incredibly beautiful too! Cheers to Chef Tony!
Great food. Different from usual restaurant faire. Very tasty with reasonable prices.
Parking is a little difficult, but oysters are good
Shrimp and grits on the Sun brunch menu best I have ever had!!!
We were staying at the Doubletree across from CGK and didnt feel like driving to eat.So we just went here.OMG!!! What a gem! We had the calamari, shrimp cocktail and clam chowder(heaven!)to start.Did I mention we were hungry. LolIt was beyond amazing. Our main dishes were pork chop and iron skillet steak. So flavorful and beautiful. Cant say enough! Best meal we had staying in LA!
Beautiful, flavorful and fresh! The staff really hustles too.
Always have a great experience there. I am happy with both food and staff.
Delicious!!! This place is truly a hidden jewel nested close to uptown Whittier. The atmosphere, staff, and cooks were awesome. Very friendly staff who were very attentive to your needs. This place not only serves great food but has a vast selection of craft beers, and wine. I highly recommend you come and try Crab Esquite, Pork Belly Crepe Taco, and the Lobster & Pork Chorizo on a slice of french baguette dish. These dishes were amazingly tasty and delicious. For those of us with a sweet tooth the Tres Leches Bread Pudding is a must try. This dessert plate was amazing and came out nice and warm melting in your mouth as you took a bite. The Oyster bar was another favorite of mine. It had a great selection of different types of oysters from Baja Mexico, New York, Washington state, Oregon, and even Canada. This is truly a place you don't want to pass up. 💎💎💎
Tony and his lovely wife are awesome. Really good burgers
Good food, beer and service.
Omgosh! What a pleasant surprise to find the Crooked Gaff Kitchen. In a sea of new restaurants, that are starting to look the same, The Crooked Gaff is really special! You might know the building as the old Portsmouth, however, Crooked Gaff has added delicious small and large portion choices for the die hard foodies such as myself. Here are a few highlights to tempt your palette; salmon with truffel rissoto, fresh pressed corn tortillas filled with pork or cauliflower, Japanese squash with heaven attached to it, fresh oysters. All of these and many more, wrapped in a friendly bar with terrific staff. Thank you, for being different!!!!!
Saw nothing but 5 stars. After eating here still haven’t found a five star restaurant in Whittier. The charbroiled oysters had a different take but were ok. If you want decadent charbroiled oysters you still got to go to New Orleans. The oysters Rockefeller were an epic fail tasted like melted jack cheese. An oyster bar without a full liquor bar is just not an oyster bar. Sincerely, International Foodie + 1
Tony performs magic tricks in the kitchen daily. The recipes will impress. Give it a try.
The staff is very friendly at one point you start feeling like around family. Oyster are terrific, they have a great selection. I highly recommend this place.
Nice n cozy jjjjjaz~~~~
Great oysters and great lunch specials!
Best michelada! Best bread pudding! Best service! Yummy!
I’ve been here twice with family and friends. The oysters, small and main dishes are delicious, and the service is friendly.
